Hanna Mellbin has been Head of Strategic Communications and Acting Head of Press at Karolinska University Hospital since 2020. She is part of the hospital’s crisis management and works with issues related to crisis communication in various ways, where target groups are partly the hospital’s healthcare profession, partly patients, the public and the media. Hanna Mellbin leads a professional team of eleven employees that contributes with important expertise in all parts of crisis management: in media contacts and support to spokespersons, communication via internal channels, strategic planning, and analysis.

She has a Master of Medical Science, with a major in Biomedicine and has also studied marketing and journalism. Earlier in her career, she has worked with science communication, research collaborations and public health.
