Journalist at La Vanguardia, Spain
Coordinator of La Vanguardia’s Big Vang scientific communication channel since 2012. He has previously been a specialist editor in science and health in the Society section of La Vanguardia (1992-2012); editor of La Vanguardia’s Medicine and Quality of Life supplement (1990-1992); editor of Diari de Barcelona (1988-1990); editor of Carrer Gran magazine (1986-1988).
In radio, he does a weekly science section on the program Versió RAC1 since 2012. Collaborator of El Món on RAC1 since 2001.
On television, contributor to TV3’s Tot es Mou program and LaSexta’s Al Rojo Vivo since 2020. Collaborator on TVE’s L’Altaveu since 2024.
He has published six books in Planeta and Navona publishing houses. The most recent is “Baselga, the doctor who wanted to change the world”.
He has received, among others, the journalism prize of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology; the Trajectory prize of scientific journalism from the Academia de Televisión; the Mathematics and Society prize of the Institute of Catalan Studies.
He was a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for Covid-19 of the Generalitat de Catalunya during the pandemic.
Degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
