Sigrid is a award-winning freelance science journalist with a background in biophysics and cell biology. She writes for German media mainly about medicine and biotechnology (and insects, too). She has worked as a writer and senior editor for the German online magazine MedWatch, which takes a critical look at alternative medicine and misleading promises of healing. As a lecturer, she teaches science journalism to journalists and fact-checking to children and teenagers.
