She is the Independent’s Health Correspondent and has been a health journalist for nearly a decade, with a particular focus on patient safety and mental health. A multi-award-winning reporter, she was named Health Journalist of the Year at the Press Awards in 2025 and also won at the British Press Awards in 2024 and 2022.
