Julia Holleman is a medical and philosophy student at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Chair of Stichting I Love My Back, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting young people living with scoliosis and raising awareness about spinal health. Having experienced scoliosis herself, she combines personal insight with academic and advocacy work to promote patient-centred care and improve understanding of the condition.
Alongside her studies, Julia conducts research on scoliosis at Erasmus MC and presents her work at international conferences. She also hosts the foundation’s podcast, leads community initiatives, and works to amplify the voices of young people living with scoliosis through events, storytelling, and public engagement.
