An Schreurs is science journalist and press officer in the communications team of UZ Leuven (University Hospitals Leuven) since 2019. She also works part-time as head of communications for Mission Lucidity, a research partnership (between (KU Leuven, UZ Leuven, VIB & imec) focused on developing new tools to better study, diagnose and treat neurodegenerative diseases. An has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry & Biotechnology and obtained a PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2020.
