Guillem d’Efak i Ferré brings over two decades of experience at the crossroads of culture, communication and public health. With academic roots in Humanities (UPF, 1998), he also holds a Master’s in History, postgraduate studies in Business and Cultural Institutions, and advanced research training in Archaeology. Early in his career, he led archaeological projects and launched Musealia.com, the first Spanish online platform focused on museums and digital culture.
After earning a Master’s in Arts Administration from Boston University as a “la Caixa” Fellowship, Guillem worked with major New York institutions including the Bronx Museum and The Met. Back in Barcelona, he held leadership roles in publishing, audiovisual production and international education, while also lecturing at Boston University and UPF.
From 2013 onwards, he assumed senior roles in cultural management and public service: first as CEO of the Carmen Balcells Agency, then as Head of Strategic Communication at the Catalan Department of Health, and later as Director of Communications and CSR at the Catalan Health Institute, where he also led the Arts in Health strategy.
Since 2022, he has been Head of Community Action, Public Programs and Communications at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), where he continues to explore the transformative role of arts in society and healthcare.
