Senior Art Specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital where he engages with patients, families and staff to create diverse forms of video expression. He first developed the journey video curriculum at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital where he worked from 2006 to 2019. Vazakas has also worked on collaborative video projects with adult populations, including refugees, veterans, women in recovery, and adults living with mental illness. His documentary videos have been screened at the Whitney Museum, the Venice Biennale’s Retrospectiva, and the San Francisco Cinematheque.
